Natalie Merchant, American Pop Singer and Songwriter once said, “Poetry comes alive to me through recitation”. Reciting a poem with proper accuracy is a perfect piece of persuasion.
The English department conducted a Poetry recitation competition for students of Std V & VI on the theme, ‘Peace and Non Violence’. It was a tribute to the Father of our Nation along with inculcating the value of Non Violence in the mind of little children.
Students were judged on the basis of the following – relevance of the theme, creativity/style originality, coherence, form of structure, clarity of imagery and language.
A very big thank you to all the participants for their efforts and love and hearty congratulations to all the winners. We would like to see more students participating in the
upcoming competitions and activities.
