A talk session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was held at St. Joseph’s High School, Pashan on 23rd March 2025 for all teaching and non-teaching staff. The session was organized by the school counsellor, Ms. Pamela Franklin, and the resource person was Advocate Desmond Francis, a legal expert in child protection laws. The session focused on raising awareness about child sexual abuse, the legal responsibilities of educators under the POCSO Act, and practical ways to ensure student safety within the school environment. Teachers were guided on recognizing signs of abuse, mandatory reporting procedures, and maintaining a safe, supportive space for students. The session served as an important step in strengthening the school’s commitment to child safety and protection.
