Nine Days with Blessed Dina Belanger
DAY 1 WITH BLESSED DINA
As a part of preparation for the upcoming feast of Blessed Dina Belanger, novena prayers are conducted every day with specific themes during the virtual assembly. Each class is given responsibility to prepare the special assembly and novena prayers to be conducted.
Class XII was responsible for the first day novena held on 24th August, 2021 with the theme, “Blessed Dina, teach us tenderness in our relationship.” The theme was well reflected with powerpoint presentations, hymns, special prayer intentions and videos on life of Blessed Dina were showcased. The Novena prayers helped students to come closer to Blessed Dina and imbibe her values in their lives.
Students related their lives to the life of Blessed Dina Belanger whose whole life was a song of love, a hymn of thanksgiving to the Lord. They expressed their thoughts about her ideal: love, sacrifice, peace, purity and openness to the inspiration of God.
In this time of pandemic we can count on the intercession of Blessed Dina Belanger who understands very well the situation in our world. On 4th September 1929 she died of bacterial disease tuberculosis; at that time no medicine vaccine could cure this contagious disease Novena to the blessed Dina Belanger invites us to adopt certain attributes in order to live a mission well every day.
