St. Joseph High school, Pashan celebrated its Annual Prize day on the 22 nd of August.
The school had the pleasure of having Mrs. Jhumkee Iyenkar,a designer, Social enterpreneur, teacher and writer who was also an Alumna of St. Joseph High School , as the Chief Guest for the programme.
The Annual Day was based on the theme ‘ Culture of care’. The event was a display of various songs, dances that was interspersed with the social message of caring for yourself,nature, heritage and family .Each and every program presented, highlighted the need to care.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by the welcoming of the guests. A welcome dance was performed after which the Principal Sr. Antonette addressed the school.
Prizes were distributed to the students who excelled in academics and acquired scholarships.The prizes were distributed by the chief guest after which the Head Girl presented the school report.
The programme were presented by students from std 5- 10.Std 9 had also acted out a mime depicting the importance of self-care.The students of Std 10 performed a finale , after which all the participants came on stage for a Grand Finale and the parents applauded the students for their efforts and dedication towards making the event a success.
It was followed by the chief guest ‘s address which was inspiring, not just for the students but for all who were present there.
The event was a grand success, with the entire school community coming together to celebrate.
The Asst. Head girl Shruti Joe proposed the Vote of thanks.
This joyful occasion concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
