St.Joseph High School,Pashan had an esteemed speaker today Dr. Sampada Tambolkar (Pediatrician), lecturer in D.Y Patil medical college (Pune) She was here to grace the day by speaking to the primary section on the topic “ What should young children know”. She began her talk by speaking about well being (physical, mental). She said, “ Happiness is the key reason for a healthy mind and body”. She made the students to take an oath to reduce screen time and increase outdoor activity time. She spoke about happy hormones, which are released in the body, leading her to speak about safe and unsafe touch.
The children were educated on safe and unsafe touch through her open ended questions, presentation and demonstration. She concluded her talk by telling the students, if they are in any such situation, they are supposed to say ‘ STOP’ , ‘GO’, ‘TELL’ someone about it.
The primary section was blessed to have Dr. Sampada Tambolkar and the informative talk she shared with them.
