To sensitise Students towards nurturing of Environment, World Environment Day was celebrated on 1st July, 2021.by the students of STD XII. Students participated with great zeal and fervour through a special Virtual assembly. The main purpose of the celebration was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it. The theme ‘Reimagine Recreate Restore’ prompted the students to ponder on the current environmental issues and motivated them to do their part to heal the environment.
The students were led in a prayer service thanking God for the gift of this beautiful creation.The Assembly included special prayers, Scripture Reading and hymns.
PowerPoint presentations explaining in detail the significance of World Environment Day and a documentary followed by group discussions made the students aware of the hazards that humans are causing to the environment.
To conclude with the celebration, the Students United took an Oath to safeguard the environment.
