Our Experience at the Blind School

We the students of St Joseph high School, Pashan visited the Blind School on 20th December 2022. Our school donated day to day useful supplies to the blind school. At 9:30 am we left for the blind school. We arrived at the blind school at approximately 10:00 am. As we entered the blind school building we headed towards the lunch hall where all the kids were assembled for their brunch. Their smiling faces made us realize that you can solve problems in life as long as you have the right attitude. After relishing their brunch, the younger students were led by the older students towards their classes. As we entered the classrooms we saw that the classrooms were well maintained. The teachers showed us their textbooks which were printed in Braille. We spent some time sharing our thoughts with the children. At 10:55 am we headed towards their hall for their assembly. All the children arrived at the hall at sharp 11:00 am. They carried out their prayer and we sung the national anthem together. The music teacher who was also specially abled played the harmonium for them. After his performance we girls sang Christmas carols to share  love and joy with them and wish them Happy Christmas . After bidding them goodbye we departed from their school feeling grateful and loved. Today the biggest lesson we learnt was there is always a ray of hope, in every dark situation. These children found their ray of hope in the darkness.
